Pronóstico trimestral estadístico y estadístico-dinámico del Servicio Meteorológico Nacional

Abstract

Desde mediados de la década de 1990 en el Servicio Meteorológico Nacional de Argentina (SMN) se elaboran los pronósticos trimestrales de temperatura media y de precipitación acumulada por consenso. Para la elaboración de dicho pronóstico se tienen en cuenta las previsiones de otros centros o modelos climáticos y también los pronósticos estadístico y estadístico-dinámico que se generan en el organismo. En esta nota técnica se presenta el Modelo de pronóstico estadístico SMN-CPT y el Modelo de pronóstico estadístico-dinámico SMN-CPT.NMME. Se calibraron para cada trimestre del año y para cada región del territorio nacional.

Since the mid-1990s, the National Meteorological Service of Argentina (SMN in spanish) produces mean temperature and accumulated precipitation consensus seasonal forecasts. For the elaboration of this forecast, the forecasts of other centers or climatic models are taken into account, as well as the statistical and statistical-dynamic forecasts that are produced in the organism. This technical note presents the SMN-CPT Statistical Forecast Model and the SMN-CPT.NMME Statistical-Dynamic Forecast Model. They were calibrated for each trimester of the year and for each region of the national territory.
